Service is non-existent. It's usually difficult to get a hold of anyone. They will happily sell you a half million dollar boat but when it comes to handling the necessary maintenance and servicing, they just can't do it. Its not worth the hassle and frustration of waiting weeks to find out info on repairs. Save yourself the headache and buy from somewhere else and check their service reviews first! Many people have had the same negative experience I have. Just read the reviews.... Happy Boating!

Bought a used boat from Marine Max in Clearwater. Started up well, looked great. To be fair, they told me it was as-is, but told me it ran and worked well for the person who owned it. Turns out it needs a new inboard engine, trailer is cracked, and mounts are broken. Will cost me $4,000.00 to be repaired elsewhere. The guy who sold it to me had quit, and the manager said they would call us back to make it right. That was two months ago. Do not buy from these people.

The team at MarineMax Ship Bottom and Brant Beach are the best of the best. Excellent service, friendly and honest.

The people here are extraordinarily unprofessional, disrespectful and careless with other peoples property! Mid-summer 2014 I brought my speed boat to Marinemax located in Rogers to have the alternator replaced. They put an alternator conversion kit, which corrected the initial problem, but the pulley did not align with the power steering unit causing undo pressure to the shaft. I noticed antifreeze spraying out the front of the engine and brought the speedboat back to have them fix the problems they caused. They wanted $290... read more

Bought a 2007 Sea Ray in winter. Paid a good deal of money to have it inspected (approx $350) by them and they noted a front fender issue. They noted it on the inspection and told me several times it was purely "cosmetic". Then, around 6 months later, I brought the boat to them and had them look at it again. They recommended that I fix it, especially if I planned to trailer boat. They wanted $150 to fix it when on the inspection report, they noted it then as only cosmetic. In my opinion, they used the good old bait and switc... read more

The service Tech I have been assigned has been great. He is a very hard worker and I can tell he is always willing to go the extra mile for us. We were confident that our lower unit needed replacing. It is 2002 Brovo III with approx. 1,000 hours on it. A year ago we had a bad refrigerator in the boat that caused an electric current which helped to corrode the lower unit. The electrical problem was fixed but now the Prop shaft is leaking fluid. We asked that a new Lower unit be installed. To say the least we were shocked by t... read more
