A gem If you are considering seeing Dr. Marina Richards, do it! I could not be happier with her. I have lived in NYC for 10 years and have seen numerous doctors - Dr. Richards is the best by far. I am very lucky to have Dr. Richards as my primary care doctor. Last December Dr. Richards diagnosed me with a heart condition that was life threatening. It would require open heart surgery, and time was of the essence. She referred me to her colleagues at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Absolutely Wonderful! – When I first went to Dr. Richards, I could walk only a few blocks due to my fibromyalgia pain. With her help through acupuncture, I can now walk miles completely pain free. She is such a kind, patient doctor that I made her my internist as well. In addition to being a great doctor, she is VERY accessible (even responding to an e-mail request on Christmas Day). Dr. Richards is excellent – My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Richards for the past two years. We only have positive things to say. She is intelligent, thorough, has good people skills, and up to date with new medical breakthroughs, and in general with it. She also makes things very simple. Dr. Richards is the coolest doctor I ever had – I've highly recommended Dr. Richards to all my friends and co-workers, and now they have highly recommended to her to their other friends and co-workers too. Caring and Thorough Doctor – I think Dr. Richards is a wonderful doctor. I started going for acupuncture before I realized she is also an MD. I was so impressed with how caring and thorough she is that I also decided to make her my primary physician. Extremely unprofessional, rude and condescending – Upon the discovery that I had not been vaccinated for Hepatitus A or B, Dr. Richards suggested that I receive said vaccines as soon as possible. I informed her that I had no interest in receiving any vaccinations beyond what had been necessary to attend college. She said that it was simply a matter of hygiene but if I preferred to be "unhygienic" that was entirely up to me.
