Absolutely horrible!!!!! Do not go to her. Do not trust her. I would give her zero but it needs a rating in order to post a review. I went to Stony Brook Hospital for her to do my thyroid biopsy. She was the doctor that was going to perform the biopsy for my endocrinologist. I spoke with her and she said she is the Dr. that will do the whole procedure and that it was a quick simple procedure. I heard great things about Dr. Charitou and wanted to book an appointment with her, but unfortunately it did not happen. I called to make an appointment as a new patient and the woman who answered was beyond rude. I gave all my info, she gave me 2 appointments 8 months from now. I asked if Dr. Charitou had anything in 4-5 months, and this woman became so nasty and got annoyed with me for simply asking. Needless to say, I hung up the phone and called another endo with a great office staff.

Dr Charitou is knowledgeable, competent, caring, compassionate. For those of us who get anxious at Dr appointments, her calm demeanor totally put me at ease, even though I feed a serious medical issue. Love her!
