It is always busy on the weekend. They have outdoor volleyball in the sand which looks fun. They have awesome food. I love going here because of the atmosphere.
Been going here since i was too little to know it. And 25 years later i still come here. Best german food in town and a bar staff that kicks butt too. I give it 10 stars.
I had the pork with mushroom gravy, fried potatoes and red cabbage and it was fabulous! My husband had the veal cutlet and it was very tasty. He wasn't a fan of the house salad. We both really liked the red cabbage.
Marikkas is one of Lexington's special places. Great food, great staff, and an incredible patio in the back. And if you enjoy outdoor volleyball, this is the top location in central KY.
