Akron Children's hospital taking over this pediatric department has been the absolute worst experience and customer service i have EVER experienced. Being a registered nurse for 15 years, I think that speaks volumes. First of all, my daughter had to go to the ER last fall. I called the pediatric office to schedule a follow-up appointment. I was put on hold for 25 minutes, THREE separate times. Not being able to call the office and being routed to a call center in Akron has made it impossible to schedule appointments. Today I called the nurse line for my 10 month old son, they said to come in asap so we scheduled an appt at 1. He was having issues, so we called and said we wouldnt get there until 1:15 they confirmed that was fine. My son was in the door at 1:16 and because of that one minute they turned us away even though it was an emergent situation and it was only the 1 minute. This was Dr. Robert's, as I understand it is the physicians call on whether or not to see him when people are late. Literally the most pathetic experience I've ... read more
