Best Tuna Melt I've Ever Had The Albacore Tuna Melt sandwich is the best tuna melt I've ever had. It is consistently fabulous. Their Potato Soup is better than mine, and I have a rep for fab potato soup. I've been going to Marie's since high school and that was 40 years ago.
Horrible Service First of all, the food took forever!!! The waiter screwed up big time on our order. The food here is really good but they seriously need to hire intelligent people who actually knows what theyre doing. Parking was not a problem but it was very frustrating dealing with the waiter.
Not that great, a disappointment Marie Callender's should stick to its specialty-pies! Their pies are the best I have ever had. On the other hand, the restaurant is so-so. Food takes long to arrive, and is nothing great. The food is usually too salty, or too boring. They are known for their pot pies, although I have never tried that. I woudl not recommend this.
Average I enjoyed my meal, one of the special summer dishes, but the rest of the group did not. The general conclusion was that the Costco frozen pot pies were better than the ones at the actual resturant.
Delicious American tradition Most college students should know how great Marie Callender's frozen pot pies taste when you heat them up in your microwave, but wait until you taste the real thing! The Marie Callender's in Irvine is one of my sister's favourite places to go when I visit and feed her in college.
