Unhelpful in harmful ways. It takes 6 months to schedule anything and then they withhold prescription authorizations if anything runs out before they see you.
I cycled through so many endocrinologists before Dr. Lamothe. The last doctor "tried" to get a medication approved through insurance for months and told me it wasn't possible. The same medication was approved and delivered 2 weeks after my first appointment with Dr. Lamothe. I've been a patient for a few years now and she's the best endocrinologist I've ever seen. She listens and speaks to me like a person and not just a chart.
Thank goodness I have only had to see Dr. Lamothe only a couple of times. I could see how some pple. think that she is not "coddling". I come from the Medical field & want facts. She is knowledgeable & real. Tells it like it is. Not looking for empathy or a friend. Need facts & medical advice in a nice way which she was able to do. Balance !
If I could give this dr a zero, I would. Staff is very rude. Took 6 calls to get a correct script. Phones go unanswered. She has NO bedside manner. She hates answering your questions and actually on the last visit, my husband had a few questions. She stepped into the hallway and my husband heard her complaining to the staff that she didnt have time, that she had other patients to see.
