I had a routine screening colonoscopy (for patients over 50) performed by Dr. Castilla. These preventive screenings are supposed to be covered at 100% by insurance. Both my pre-op appointment and the colonoscopy itself were fully covered. However, Dr. Castilla required a follow-up appointment afterward that was not medically necessary.
