The service was great and the atmosphere was warm. However the place could use a remodel and update. The food was hit or miss. The shrimp caldo was great and flavorful and tasted fresh, but the chicken fajita meat was dry and tough and felt like frozen reheated meat. The rice and beans were average for a Mexican restaurant. The chips felt fresh and the salsa was delicious. I was disappointed that they did not offer Orchata, Jamaica, Tamarindo, or any traditional Mexican beverages.
The food was flavorless. NOT authentic Mexican. I ordered the chicken burritos. Boiled chicken, canned beans and zero flavor is what I got. If you like your food seasoned and flavorful don’t eat here.
We've only gotten to go but its delicious every time. I love the Ernies Tacos and their salsa is so good.
