Dr. Margaret Umah, has care for both my mother and myself for over 5 years or longer! She's truly one of the most caring and attentive physician I've have every known. What I like most about her is she let me talk and she listen! She is very thorough and takes her time to explain your condition and answer any questions I may have. Also, she's quick to response back to me in My Chart for any concerns I may have. I'm really grateful she's my doctor!

I’m an existing patient who is already months behind on a mandatory check up for ovarian cysts along with needing necessary prescription refills. I was told this morning (1/24/2024) that I can make an appointment for early NEXT YEAR. She has no appointments available for an existing patient for over 12 months. Life literally changes in 12 months. Absolutely asinine!!! I will 100% be going to a different doctor. Dr. Umah is a caring and attentive physician. I followed her from her old practice to her new one at Houston Methodist. She is very thorough and takes her time to explain your condition and answer your questions. I am relatively new to Houston and so glad I found her. If you are looking for a new physician, look no further.

First, I want to say that Dr. Umah has an excellent bedside manner with patients. She was very professional and attentive when I went with a relative to their appointment. That is a rare quality with doctors these days. However, we waited an hour past the appointment time to be seen, and they do not return calls within a professional time frame at all. Dr. Umah is a caring, thorough, old school educated person who has taken that approach in her studies & is manifested in her practice. She is fiercely devoted to me as a patient, she listens as she asess, pays attention to every detail, knows your name, is extremely interested in you holistically, noticing those things you don't even mention, & if you are overweight, this is the MD for you, not because she does weight loss specialty; because you & your issues are not invisible. The BEST MD EVER!
