I arrived as a new patient to have a wart/growth removed from my lower leg. As Dr. Marder looked at the growth he notice melanoma near the same area. He stopped then told my I had to pay 600.00 plus to have the two items removed and biopsy. Of course I paid the fee (unhappy about the amount) and he removed them. He then filed with my Insurance which eob states maximum charge to patient is 400.00 plus. Difference of roughly 200.00 dollars. And doctors complain that electronic health records are an imposition on them. Electronic Health Records will be able to audit such disproportionate billing and save taxpayers billions.
