Best endocrinologist out there! He has literally turned my diabetes around and I can't thank him enough
I have had type one diabetes for 22 years this June and can say without a question that Dr. Abreu is the best Endocrinologist I've ever had. He really listens and stays up to date with the newest models of insulin pump therapy and treatments. I have had him fight my insurance to ensure that I have the insulin and pump therapy that works best for me and not what my insurance thinks works best for me. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 39 years old. I had no idea where to start or what to do. I was fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr. Abreu and his team at UT Southwestern. Dr Abreu hears my concerns and offers so much education and practical solutions to my diabetic care. There is ease of access to Diabetic educators, nurse practitioners and medical assistants who offer nutrition guidance, support, labs and help with prescription refills as I navigate this big change.
