I went to Dr. Cherchi for about 3 years for treatment of sudden, severe, random dizzy spells. He misdiagnosed me with Meniere’s Disease and explained that displaced crystals in my ears were to blame. He gave me ineffective medication and told me I needed to shake my head when I experienced a dizzy spell to replace the crystals. Needless to say this was ineffective and counterproductive, only making me feel more dizzy. The reality is I was in the early stages of an Addisonian Crisis, a life threatening situation if not treate... read more
Many 'firsts' with this doctor: he actually reviewed the reports I submitted from 4 specialists;I received the diagnosis in 2 days and actually was told after the visit but doctor needed confirmation from tests; he actually provided me with handouts when I left. I have never experienced these 'firsts'.
I saw doctor on July 1, 2024.He is so snowing and helpful. I can only say thank you to him.
The appointments never occurred on-time. The staff was rude. I was completely misdiagnosed and put on ineffective treatment, and prescribed the wrong diagnostic tests and medicines. I was ultimately dropped as a patient because he had no more treatment options for me It wasn't until I saw another doctor who actually evaluated my symptoms objectively, and ordered the correct tests, that I was finally properly diagnosed. Dr. Chechi is an academic at best and a clinician at worst. Ultimately, he is a terrible practitioner and I... read more
Dr. Cherchi was absolutely outstanding I saw him for the first time and he was very patient with me. He did an exam with special goggles, that would show my eye movements, and confirmed I did have BPPV, the dr did feel there was another component,& said he would have a written report sent to my physical therapist, so she could start treating me for BPPV.
Dr. Cherchi is extremely kind, thorough and thoughtful. He gives patients the time they need. His scheduling and office routines have improved of late. The staff was always polite and competent. I had a difficult case of positional vertigo, and he and his well trained assistants have been very helpful, especially when my vertigo decides to flare up every few years. He considers you as a whole person, and gives clear explanations and relevant advice. There can be many causes for vertigo, and it may take a little time to dig t... read more
At the time of my appointment, I thought Dr. Cherchi was brilliant, and I thought his staff was excellent. Events in the month that followed my office visit were highly problematic. First, Dr. Cherchi made an error in his written report. Rather than quickly correcting the error, Dr. Cherchi's assistant fabricated an outlandish explanation for why the error was not, in fact, an error. Getting the error corrected took weeks. The weakest point in Dr. Cherchi's office is accessibility. Outside of a scheduled office visit or tele... read more
Dr. Cherchi was excellent. It was my first visit and he exhibited a compassion that made me feel that we actually cared about what I was experiencing. His communication to me was amazing and I feel so much better for having the chance to hear his diagnosis.
Dr. Cherchi conducts himself as a man who truly enjoys his job, carefully explaining the findings of his staff and personally conducting further tests. He has a great enthusiasm for his practice, explaining matters in thorough detail. He's a sympathetic listener and asks an abundance of questions. I didn't feel the least bit rushed. He used a model of the inner ear to accurately indicate my problem areas while he described their probable cause and effect. I must say I was very impressed.
