You are literally RIGHT next to a train track. South daytona is a shithole. Don't expect alot.
The manager (lilah) is bad and needs to go. Very rude, condescending and a bully and will target specific people. The train is so loud. The pool bathrooms are locked for the staffs "safety". So this place isn't safe? The rent has increased $200 for tiny, outdated apartments. If you have visitors, even if its family, for over 72 hours YOU have to pay for a background check. My mother lived at Marcell Gardens for 2 years. She needed extra care in her day to day living and I just moved her to assisted living. While at Marcell Gardens she was treated very well. They paid attention to each of our requests for maintenance or otherwise. I’m glad my mother enjoyed her time there. She misses everyone there.
This place is horrible. The staff will take your stuff if your not home when they go in your apartment. The property manager is hateful, rude, and makes nasty comments about tenates to other tenates. Unless you are a shut in who never leaves there house you will be hated. I could not even stand going home. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
I moved to Daytona and could not be happier with the laid back lifestyle. No more New York cut throat mentality. Here I feel safe. It is quiet and I have met a lot of nice people. I finally found tranquility. Very Happy!
I said farewell to the snow and ice. I have been here one month and it is paradise. I look out over the pool which is like a post card. My apartment is peaceful and quiet. It is the most perfect place as far as I am concerned. All of my furniture fits perfectly. Everyone has been extremely nice and helpful. Every day I find more wonderful sites nearby to eat or shop at. I will be happy to stay forever. Anyone considering relocation from the cold does it!
My husband and I have spent our first year of wedded bliss here. My husband has been promoted and he is being-transferred to Ohio of all places. I will miss the warmth of Florida and our very special first home together. It is so large and bright and I do not want to leave. We have been so happy here. Thanks to the maintenance guys who helped us even after hours. Everyone was super to us!
