Frank is a jerk!! He came by my house for him to determine whether I need a new garage door or can just replace the panel that was ripped. He was supposed to get back to me with an estimate and garage door suggestions but never did. I called him after a week and he said that I could either replace the broken panel or the entire garage door and would drop off a brochure with a picture of the garage door he recommended. He VOLUNTEERED to drop it off. I reviewed the brochure and the door he recommended was similar to mine but not exact and I wanted to see the color in person. I contacted the vendor directly for a sample and was told that the installer would have samples and I should ask him. So I called him and told him what they said. I wasn't going to purchase something without actually seeing it in person, especially if I was going to replace just one panel and it needed to match what I already had. He again offered to come to my place with the sample. When he got here I told him that I was definitely going to use his services but that there were some differences and could he see if he can find a more exact match. He blew a gasket and complained about all the work he had already done. WTF?? If I'm going to replace a panel then it needs to match what I have or I'll have a weird looking garage door. He then complained that he was semi-retired and blah blah blah. He just started yelling so I told him I didn't want his business and told him to leave. I see the good reviews he's received are from years ago. Maybe he's gotten meaner as he's gotten older but I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES AND WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH HIM!!

Of roll up, side to side, swing out and swing up garage door styles, which one is considered the most popular for both single and double garage doors? If you guessed the roll up door style, you're right.

Can you guess the most popular material used to make garage doors? If you guessed steel, you're right. Along with steel, these four materials are used alone or in combination in garage door construction: aluminum, fiberglass, wood, and composite.

Yearly professional maintenance on your garage door and opener can ensure that it continues to operate safely and trouble-free. This maintenance typically includes tightening, adjusting, lubricating, and testing the garage door and all of the opener components.

Any garage tracks should be cleared of leaf litter and other debris. Debris can stick to the bottom of the garage door and eventually impede its performance.

When it comes to choosing a garage door style, there are several panel designs that you can choose from. This includes flush panels (flat and slightly textured), long raised panels (which add depth), short raised panels (which add depth and detail), and painted panels (where the sloped portion of the panel is painted in a contrasting color).

Just as it is a good idea to have your home’s heating and cooling systems checked annually, it’s also a good idea to have your door checked. This will help ensure that it continues to operate properly and safely.

In cold climates, insulated garage doors reduce energy consumption, save money, and increase your comfort all year long. In the winter, they block cold to reduce heating demands, and in the summer, they block heat so your air conditioning doesn’t work as hard.
