I am posting this review to warn future applicants about the complete lack of upfront transparency regarding screening criteria at Maplecrest Apartments / Rosso Management Co. We applied for an apartment at Maplecrest Apartments and worked with Sally Nelson. When we met in person, she was kind and polite while accepting our application fees. We rented a 1 bed 1 bath unit for almost 3 years and it was perfect for 2 people! The location is amazing as you are close to many different types of amenities whether it’s for groceries, boutique shops, Cafes, Home Depot, the train station, etc. and easy access to all highways! Maplecrest was the best renting experience I had in the Detroit area. The management team was very responsive and easy to work with, and maintenance fixed issues quickly and correctly. I highly recommend renting here. Positives: reasonable rent for the area, located in walking distance to gym, groceries, and restaurants, nice neighborhood, and quiet building with very minimal maintenance issues Negatives: shared coin laundry machine and dryer are abysmal, no garages for parking, and no bbq grill usage on decks.
Moved here a month ago and I'm loving this place. Only downside is that the kitchen doesn't have a microwave as a part of furnished kitchen. Lots of storage space and closet space. It's right across the road from whole foods and la fitness and is close to Target and many restaurants.
