Manresa has been at the center of my spiritual journey. I treasure their offerings, and everytime I drive onto the property, I feel the peace of Christ.
I recently spent a three day individually direct silent retreat at Manresa. My director was Fr. Fennessy, and he was absolutely incredible. So full of wisdom, the Holy Spirit, and love for Jesus. The food at Manresa was all very tasty, I left stuffed every meal. I am not Catholic, but the staff was all very welcoming and accommodating, and I still got so much out of this retreat. If you are a Protestant wondering if you should take a retreat, go for it! Manresa is a great place to get away and hear from God!
Manresa is a place of peace, inner quiet, and contemplation.I made my second retreat this year and will continue to attend.
Going to the men's retreat next year during Holy Week. The retreat starts on Thursday and ends on Saturday before Easter. Great experience.
Manresa is a place in the city that makes one think they are in the country. I am here now on my 9th retreat. My six month check up with God. If you have never been to Manresa I urge you to go. God lives here.
The moment I walked through the doors of Manresa almost 3 years ago, I truly felt like my heart had "come home." I recently completed the 2 1/2 year Manresa Spiritual Companionship Program and have been forever changed. The Co-Directors Ann Dillon and Father Steve Hurd are outstanding! My heart was opened in new ways, I found the "thin places" that have forever changed me....and the journey continues. Blessings to all who work so diligently to keep this spiritual gem alive and well!
