I received an unsolicited letter from Manor Real Estate 10 months after my dad passed away offering their services for his estate. I have no idea who these people are and how they got my information and I do not live in the city where their business is. It was extremely gross and felt predatory. It makes me wonder if they comb through obituaries as a business opportunity, capitalizing on people in a vulnerable time.
I want to share an experience. Our mom died. We had to sell her house in south St. Louis. We found a name in the St Louis Review and set up an appointment. We met with the person, Don, and we really connected. It was incredible. He talked to us a few minutes then he took a tour of the house. He offered us a cash as is offer the next day. I can't say enough good things about the Cherrys and Manor Real Estate. I have particularly dealt with Ed Cherry many times and he is the ultimate professional. He's always personable and eager to help. This is the group you want to use for your real estate needs.

I received a random letter from Manor Real Estate five months after my mom passed away offering their services for her estate. It was gross and insensitive. I have no clue how these people got my contact information. Either my mom’s estate attorney sold our information to Manor or they’re the “ambulance chasers” of the real estate industry and comb through obituaries to “offer” their services to the relatives of those that have passed away. It’s a disgusting business practice. Your letter went into the trash.
