A few days before our appointment i decided to look up Manning Family Childrens Hospital and was disheartned and worried that there were several recent 1 star reviews. I soon realized they were from a family that didn't experience the care and compassion they felt they deserved. My 15 year old cousin Joseph died in this hospital , they refused to let his immediate family see him at his final moments . His grandmother and siblings were not allowed to go up to see him. I understand having rules but in these type of situations they really need to understand how hard it may be for a mother to see her child dying on top of dealing with family not being able to come be by his side. If I could give zero stars based on our family’s experience, I would. Our family lost Joseph, a 15-year-old, at this hospital on August 11, 2026. Losing him was devastating, and the circumstances surrounding his final hours have been incredibly difficult for our family to process. During the time Joseph’s condition was becoming critical, certain family members were not permitted upstairs because of visitation restrictions.
