This man dedicated his life to psychiatry and helping people. He was an advocate for his patients, he never got frustrated and he never gave up on me even when I did. I was a patient of his for 14 years until he retired. This man is not only a great doctor but a great man. His dedication and knowledge of mental health, the medications he gave and his heart that truly cared is what saved my life. I learned so much from him, he was the first person to validate my trauma. I highly recommend this doctor! I have seen a review on another one of these sites that said he is a quack and to stay away! Well it seems to me that she must not know Dr Mannheimer as well as she may think she does because this is 1 Dr that truely tells you how things are and if it hurts your feelings or if you don't like what he is telling you I think you may not be looking for the help that you really need. He was my psychiatrist when I was hospitalized in the psych unit at Jefferson Hospital... he had a male medical student with him. I went in for suicidal ideation, depression and anxiety. The medical student actually had the audacity to say in one of the meetings "you know, sometimes people aren't actually depressed and are just lazy." This old quack, who is supposed to be teaching, laughed. He is awful.

Wonderful man. Very knowledgeable and willing to listen it his patients. I don't know what all the bad reviews are about. I've seen him twice and he's been the most understanding Psychiatrist I've ever seen and I've been going to them for over a decade.
