I came to her already being diagnosed (had to switch because of an insurance change). She spent more time trying to prove my RA wasn’t the issue but offered no alternative diagnosis or insight. Even with X-rays showing substantial bone erosion in multiple joints she didn’t believe it was real. She constantly talks over you (meaning she’s not listening) and unless your labs are a by the book perfect representation of your disease she won’t believe you or listen to what you have to say. 0/10 do not recommend.
She is not a bad doctor but after 2 yrs of treatment for Ra and Lupus she tried to say it was osteoarthritis instead....The only issue I had was that she has my labs yet tried to convince me after 2 yrs of treatment that I didn't suffer from RA because my symptoms didn't align to the remedies she prescribed. I saw Dr. Malkani in November 2018 as my Rheumatoid Arthritis, which had been in remission for many years, appeared to be flaring up. She did tests and told me no Biologics because only osteoarthritis. Since then I’ve grown worse and discovered that my records of her visit proved otherwise. I’m now waiting for an appointment in August while my RA progresses with damage to my hands, feet and other joints.
Dr.Malkani was not helpful at all to my mother she didn’t seem passionate about her job nor in helping patients. She basically just send my mom for some bloodwork than she said everything seem fine never gave any medication and when asked if she could refill my mom prescription she said to tell her primary doctor.how in the world does her primary doctor have to do with that specific medication.she shouldn’t be a doctor if she doesn’t like her job and seems like she doesn’t know much. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
