Ron, Dave, Luke, Nick, and the rest of the team at Mangon are awesome. I brought in my Piper Meridian with a baffling and serious pressurization issue, and the Mangon team attacked the challenge with energy and expertise. Throughout the process, they kept me very well informed and clearly explained all of the angles they were exploring. They solved the issues and I now have an airplane with a very tight cabin and flawless pressurization performance. Also, they're great human beings. Would give six stars if I could!
Called to schedule a transponder and pitot static test and I had a few other questions about some fasteners on my (new to me) Cessna 177. The guys at the shop were very helpful and were done with the test next day. The weather was a poor and I had to keep it there a couple extra days which they were completely fine with. Great service.
Have heard lot's of very bad PIREPs recently on this place - to be AVOIDED like freezing rain !
I flew into O69 in the early afternoon to purchase a bicycle in Santa Rosa and when I went to head home, my airplane's EGT/CHT gauge started indicating an abnormally high temperature on the number one cylinder. I was directed to Mangon by the airport staff at 4:50pm. (10 minutes before they close shop) Even though it was technically closing time as I taxied the airplane to the Mangon hangar, Ron and David scoured the engine and ran through and checked each potential problem to make sure nothing was left to chance.
