Great Place – This is a very cute and cozy place to come enjoy your evenings. Food and service was great. Depending on what you order and how much you drink it may get a little pricey, but worth every penny. Pastas and Martinis are great!!! And make sure you order the chocolate souffle for dessert !!! Highly recommend this plc.
It used to be good food, bad service. – But, now it's the other way around. I cannot fault the wait staff at all. The cuisine on the other hand, was bland, and so... not Italian. When I go to an Italian restaurant, I want it to remind me of when I went to Italy, and the food. I know most people can tell the difference....So sad what u pay for...
cozy restaurant – visiting from the land of the sun we felt that this was a place not to miss when your traveling. solid food. .. friendly staff and great wine list. .. .. the calamari awesome. . the caprese i would have liked vine ripe tomatoes not romas. .. . the sea bass off the charts. . the halibut great. . . SKIP THE MASHED POTATOES THEY WERE BLAND & COLD. . .wish we would have had room to try dessert. . . . definItely will come back next time we are in town. . . locals . . make sure you try this gem!!!!!!!
sooo good I came here for my birthday with some friends. It is a very nice, intimate restaurant. I felt like I was eating in a cave. The food was excellent, but be prepared to spend a little money.
Doesn't look so great from the window, BUT – Doesn't look like anything special from the street, but tunneling to the cozy back tables of the restaurant, with delightful service and a nice menu, added up to a VERY pleasant evening. I have lived in Manhattan Beach for 37 years, and could smac* myself upside the head for not trying it sooner.
Wonderful atmosphere – The food was great, the service was very attentive, the view and atmosphere was lovely. I had a great time in Manhattan Beach mostly due to dinner I had.
Ignore the other posts...the food is exquisit as is the service – Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Everything prepared with the utmost skill and expertise. The service was slower than I car for, but thank goodness it was as they did not rush you through your meal. Everything was fused together perfectly and no taste overpowered another. Highly Recomended.
Poor Food but very polite and courteous servers, bartender and waitress. – My girlfriend's birthday was yesterday, she picked Mangiamo as her restaurant of choice for the evening. The two of us arrived early to enjoy a glass of wine on me before a few more of our friends arrived for dinner.
