Will I be back? – This place is bad all around. When you walk in the place reminds you of type of place Dan and Roseanne Connor would go to for their wedding anniversary in Lanford, IL in an episode of Roseanne. Cheesy. Anyone that gives this multiple stars must of never had any other Italian food in their lives cause best way to explain this place is hillbilly Italian food. Awful, horrible, cant use enough negative words. The ingredients we poor quality, all the food was greasy and over seasoned with salt, was almost downri... read more
So nice they named it twice – mangia mangia has the biggest portions i seen! you can spit it with someone else at ur table for no cost or take half togo. Theres always enough for left overs. The service is good theres always someone getting you a refill before ur glass is empty, and refills are free. Great selction of wine they even have frist glass of any wine on fridays are $5.00. Even tho mangia mangia is an italian resturaunt they also serve hotdogs, hamburgers, polish sausage, also they have a great kids menu. Mangia Ma... read more
Greatest Italian food – The grilled Calamari makes Rosebud and Maggianno's look like a dive, there is also an asparagus "Roma" appetizer of unbelievable taste. The problem here is the pasta dishes are way too pricey although they are extremely abundant. My advice when you go is get a couple of appetizers a minestrone soup (POSSIBLY THE BEST ON THE CONTINENT) and split an entree.
high prices, bad atmosphere, bad service, manager with bad attitude – my parents and i decided to try this place after we drove past it one night. i love italian cusine and was excited to find some place new. the first thing that surprised me about mangia mangia was the prices. for a $20 entree i thought i could have gone to beautiful italian restaurant with white linen table clothes and candles on the table (Maggianos) and had a MUCH better experience. we went on a thursday night around 7:00 and the service was terrible. th... read more
Fish lovers delight! – I was amazed at the selections of fish/seafood on their menu...not just the usual shrimp and salmon, but grouper, tilapia, mussels, etc. and a large variety of choices in each category! I had the blackened salmon with asparagus and it was wonderful! Very fresh. The wait staff was very attentive to service and it has a nice cozy atmosphere. Great Italian cuisine!
my whole family, and the friends i go with all love it. excellent food, and very very friendly service.
