Very biased and gives their opinion instead of news
There is so much more going on in the music scene here than just the blue note shows. The Maneater had a sizable audience and an impact on their readers. They're missing a huge opportunity to support local musicians and small venues and give them the attention they deserve.
Please cover stories that matter, especially regarding the growing local music scene. Oh and that article about making a playlist was terrible. That's the best you could do? Even with great things like Festival 88, or the Hip-hop show at Rose? Come on
Good writing just wish the writers could take some more time to write about the local music scene and its artists, and less time glorifying local venues shows exclusively.
Where is the local music scene coverage?? All I see is BN reviews when there are countless local musicians pouring their heart and soul into their music yet there is no love for them! If the Maneater wants to really show that they care about the music scene, they would cover all levels of the scene.
This source does a terrible job at covering local music and arts. It just highlights like one blue note show a month and ignores the vibrant musical and cultural scene that CoMo has to offer. The community wishes they used their campus coverage to help connect students to the local arts.
