The chefs are talented, and personable. Seems uber eats/door dash have hit the hibachi world hard in a negative way.
Food was okay. The reason why I’m leaving a two-star review is because they use food color in their sweet chili dipping sauce that comes with the spring rolls. There is absolutely no need to make a sweet chili sauce that bright of a red.
Me and my son planned to have a great dinner and were really disappointed. The chef burnt the fried rice, noodles, shrimp and lobster. The best part was the appetizer, I did not feel like driving to Tokyo steakhouses in federal way but I won’t make that mistake again and I will never come back here!!!
Never did a review for this place in all the years we used to go here. Came here a lot when it first opened over 10 years ago. It was such a treat to have a delicious sushi place around the corner from our house. The way the sushi used to be served was like a work of art. If I dig around I might be able to find photos of that time. Went Aug 2025 to treat myself to a solo lunch. Sushi still delicious. Good enough service. First time eating here. We were meeting friends to go to a comedy show after dinner. We were seated quickly, which was great, but had to flag down the waitress to order our drinks. At the end of our meal, the waitress stacked the soy sauce trays on the plates and dropped them in my partner's lap getting soy sauce all over his new white shirt, pants, and shoes.
