Whenever I’m in Tacoma, I do everything I can to make it to Mandolin. Fish is always fresh and delicious, rolls are the size of burritos, hibachi is always a whole show. 10/10
We randomly chose this restaurant for my daughter's birthday dinner when traveling and had the best experience ever. All the staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make her night special. It isn't a large restaurant but we had 2 servers and the hibachi chef serving us. Thank you!
We weren't overly impressed, but it wasn't terrible. Service was a bit slow, and other tables that were seated after us received food before us. Understandably, some foods are prepared faster than others, so maybe that accounts for it. Someone was having an adult birthday party at another table. The staff came along clanking drums and something else really loud and offensively while celebrating the birthday guest. The table cheered and made tons of noise.
