We filled a storage unit with furniture and personal items for one month while we sold our house and moved to another. Went to move it out the day our contract was up and there was standing water in the unit, which ruined everything that was on the floor. There was no one there to report to, so we took photos and moved the stuff out so we wouldn’t have to pay for another month. We had purchased insurance and filed a claim thinking we would be compensated for our loss, but they said the damage was not covered in the policy!!?... read more
