I am a veteran and the service provided is fine
This facility has a few great people. For most part you are receiving educated guesses about health problems, uncaring doctors, and power happy nurses. A big problem is the scheduling staff for urology, they cancel appointments and then claim the patient did it. Waiting months for specialist to even acknowledge you is ridiculous. The lab here is the big red flag area. Dirty lab rooms and the phlebotomists think they are at a pick up club, not a medical facility. One of the worst VA hospitals in the country. You have to park in the mud, they are always rescheduling your appointments at the last minute, the staff are unprofessional and sloppy. The building is dirty and drafty/cold. You’re better off with no insurance/state insurance because you can go to a REAL full service hospital. Our Goverment and its priorities……….
This was my first experience with the VA and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed with everyone. Welcome committee at the entrance, prompt, efficient and friendly registration, took my friend in on time for both appointments. When a vet became sick and vomited in the waiting area another vet jumped up to help and folks came literally running from all different directions to help. All were kind, considerate, caring and respectful. So very, very impressed. Thank you all for taking such good care of our veterans!
Helping those who served, who need help now. Staff there is great, plenty of mobility aids at the mountain entrance. Staff is friendly and helps with navigating the hospital. Lots of specialists on site. Even a optometrist
