I lived here for almost 2 years. Here are some pros and cons if you're thinking about living here: PRO -Location: I literally walked to the grocery store next to the apartment complex every week. It was very convent. The grocery store is fairly expensive though, but it was nice to not drive. You're also close to the highway, the mall, and McHenry Village. I’ve lived here almost 2 years and I personally believe it’s a great place to call home. Melissa and Makayla are great managers, communicators, and have always quickly taken care of any maintenance issue I’ve had. The property is kept clean and landscaped. The only thing I wish they had was an access gate to keep non-residents from dumpster diving or using the community’s dumpster as their own.
You bring concerns to the management and they are disrespectful to you. The property manager acts like it’s the biggest inconvenience on the face of the earth to do customer service. It seems like FPI has an issue with bringing in staff that has a customer first mindset. I complained about mold all over the 1st floor window and their drapes were closed so I took a picture from public view and she was so rude and disrespectful about how I took a photo of “inside” their unit. Do not move here, they never come for maintenance after you lived here a while. All plumbing always is backed up and broken. Bath tub never drained, garbage disposable broke 6 months into my lease and broke my dish washer and nobody wanted to fix it.
I had a 12-month lease and I very much enjoyed my time at Manchester Court. The leasing office staff were always very communicative. The maintenance staff were respectful and prompt with any maintenance needs. As a woman living alone, I also felt very safe here! Only reason I moved was because I was leaving the area.
