A few years ago my 15 year old dog got hit by a car and her back was broken. It was pushing 6 p.m. and this was the closest animal hospital. My husband went in to ask if they could put her out of her misery. It was 2 minutes after 6 and they said NO! We had to drive all the way to the Emergency Animal Hospital with her yelping in pain and my kids crying in the car all the way just to have her put down.
