There outpatient is excellent. Jade is the best. The emergency room staff is horrible. Inexperienced staff with no experience. Talk and goof off and are loud. Very rude; Go to Tampa General.

I was a patient in the Emergency Room at Manatee Memorial Hospital on 9/19/2021. Unfortunately, this was a horrid situation. I had a foreign body in my abdomen and had to have it surgically located and removed. The ER attending physician wanted me to be observed overnight, but there were important reasons why I could not and chose not to. I don’t even want to give this piece of crap hospital one star!! This hospital is an absolute nightmare!! My husband spent 4 days in the ER with covid, never received a room, and was left to die. I received a call on the 4th day from my husband’s phone at 2:36 in the morning from a hospital staff member to give me an update. She then tells me that “we found him 20 minutes ago.” So cold, and non-empathetic. I arrived with our 2 younger children shortly after and again the same feeling from the hospital staff. USH is a very poor corporation. The hiring of temporary contracted employees and the poorly trained staff and incredibly outdated safety policies make it not only an extremely dangerous for patients left in ER hallways for days but dangerous for staff as well when no safety procedures are followed properly. Stay away from this hospital at all costs. It's not just this UHS facility....it's all of them.

Worst Hospital in the Manatee Area. My husband was left nearly naked and rather then watching him they wheeled him to the nurses station. You can imagine I flipped out. After two days they got a sitter to sit in his room. His surgery caused so much delerium it took 5 days before he even knew where he was. Terrible I would not bring a dying rat to that hospital.

My wife is in Manatee hospital for c diff and because of the covid shutdown and lack of qualified personel, has not gotten the care that she needs. I understand the concern about covid but, I believe that one family member should be allowed in to help with patient care and take some of the pressure off the staff!
