Was in our home for less than five minutes… took quick and useless photos that did not prove any new value to the home. Did not include any of our updates in his appraisal… we have a new roof, new furnace, new water heater, new radon system… new paint, molding, all new flooring, all new lighting, removed wood paneling… gained a large chunk of usable property by filling in a large pond… and he didn’t include ANY of that. absolutely terrible. He came out to do a va appraisal and like every other review said, he was in and out in less than ten minutes. I gave him a list of every upgrade we made and he didn't list a single one. He picked comparable homes in the area that were 700 less square feet and didn't have any updates. He came in 50 thousand lower than every thing else I have seen. This guy should not be able to continue to do va appraisals,
Great guy did my VA loan. For those who don't know the industry takes him only 10 min to take pictures of everything, Ex Marine and fair
It is true that you will pay as much as $450 dollars for an appraisal and not get a true reflection. He was at my home for maybe all of 10 minutes and did not at all listen to any of the updates I made to this home totaling over $92K and claimed all he needed was a copy (pic from his phone) of the document I did describing all of the updates. When I looked at the appraisal I saw none of it in the appraisal to include my high efficiency new furnace and air conditioner. he basically stated in hi appraisal that no improvements ... read more
