No "to go" Orders We love Mama Mia's food. We were so excited when we first discovered it. It was perfect for "to go" orders - or so we thought. Our first order was great. We ordered Penne Vodka with grilled chicken. It was "girls night" and we loved it. We thought we had discovered the BEST restaurant. At our second get-together, we ordered the same. Gooey, cheesy pizzaness Mmm... pizza. It's been hard to find tasty pizza in the valley since moving from the East coast. I'm originally a New Yorker, so I like the thinner crust, the gooey cheese, and chewy crust. Not so much here in Phoenix, but the closest I've tried so far is Mamma Mia Pizza. I'm not the biggest fan of just the plain slices, I think it needs a little more sauce, but the crust is tasty. I'm tempted to purchase their dough balls to make my own. Great NY Pizza It seems like it is really hard to find a decent pizza place out here in AZ but I have found that the little shack hole in the wall places have been the best. Although Mama Mia's isn't really much to look at the pizza is some of the best I've ever had! There are only 3 pizza places in the Phoenix area I would highly recommend checking out and this is my #1!! I like lots of different toppings on my pizza most of the time but Mama Mia's has one of the BEST cheese pizzas ever!!
New Times Best In Phoenix 2007 - So I Went - They're Right Its Great! Thin Crust With Just The Right Amount Of Cheese And Sauce. Just Like I Remember In The Bronx When I Was A Kid.They Even Sell Slices ( I had two while I waited for a large pie to go), And Doctor Browns Soda. Thank God They Deliver, As This Review Is Making Me Crave Some. Try It - You'll Love It!
Yummy I had never tried this place until my boss ordered it one day. I love this pizza it is so good. Freashly baked and hand tossed crust. If your looking for a pizza that you can pick up and take home and be stastfied this is the place to go.
