Was excited to try this place and I had high expectations.. our server handed us menus with no suggestions but more like we were inconveniencing her.. food was bland and disappointing.. I will NEVER ever consider this place again.. disappointed is an understatement.. it’s a slap in the face to pay so much $$ for bad food and shitty service..
I visited Mama Lu at Monterey park several years ago and was disappointed. However, I decided to give it another try at Alhambra and had a much better experience this time. Prices are fair and portions are very generous. Food is tasty too! Soup dumpling is their signature so dont skip that. Between the steamed soup dumplings and the fried pork bun, go for the steamed dumplings instead! We also got the French style beef tenderloin and garlic stir fried pea sprouts. Both were very tasty with “wok hey”. Will return again.

Stopped by Mama Lu’s Dumpling House in Alhambra for some comfort food and the table did NOT disappoint. 🥟 Juicy Pork Dumplings — juicy, savory & a must Spicy Wontons with Pork & Shrimp — that sauce thoughhh Honey Garlic Pork Chop — sweet, sticky & crispy 🫛 Sautéed String Beans — simple but SO good Come hungry because sharing is optional
