Overpriced. Went in to see how much it would cost to repair my Van Cleef bracelet and they said $99. Went to another place and got it fixed for $20.
I brought my engagement ring in to have the original diamond swapped with the diamond from my fiancé’s grandmother’s ring. They told us three weeks and it was finished more than a week early! I was nervous because the band is very thin and the “new” diamond is significantly larger than the original. I am blown away by the workmanship. They made it work SO beautifully! Malloves is one of the best local jewelry stores in CT! The selection of diamonds, gold and silver is excellent. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. We have had our jewelry repaired there for years. They have a bench jeweler in house and the quality of work is superb. Thank you!
Sadly a very poor personality experience. I wanted my beautiful caregiver ring repaired, phone conversation was you should only wear that at cocktail parties. My idea of going out is walking my dog with my ring on. Couple weeks later, I attempted to go to the store, not one of the 3 employees helped, looked at me & not even a greeting, 15 minutes later....another very impolite experience. Was very hopeful to have a good experience but unfortunately the guy dismissed me like a was nothing. Just needed a simple repair but since it could break again he wouldn't touch it. Handed it back says I won't touch these anymore..rude tone very passive no good bye or no options just dismissed me. Why do jewelers act so grandiose. I want to buy a big gold necklace in couple weeks and they would have got my business. Unfortunately not now.
