My husband and I moved to South Carolina to be near my parents, who bought in Malind Bluff. We had considered buying here but after visiting at my parents' house, I could never. The quality of the homes themselves is terrible, and there were tons of issues when they first moved in and those quality issues have only continued. Also, the HOA is horrific.
