The best Thai food on the West Coast ;] – Mali Thai is the best Thai restaurant that I've ever been to. I gauge every Thai joint by their signature Pad Thai dish and Mali Thai takes the cake. Other amazing dishes include their Red Curry, Garlic Chicken, and Swimming Ramma. The food is consistently good and you always know what to expect when you go here with great prices. If you could somehow box up their food and market it to the world you would collide with millions upon millions of dollars. Trust me on this one.
I have been going to Mali Thai for 3 years and always received friendly service. The food is consistent in flavor and texture. One of the best dishes is the tofu pad Thai with chicken satay, the curry dishes are pretty flavorful also. It is a rarity to find a restaurant where the food is always taste the same, regardless the time of day. When you find that great restaurant that is consistently good, you must show your support and appreciation.
That short lady who is the owner is very rude, loud. She sat us (group of 7) at a table for 4 and put extra chair on the side instead of using two table next to each other. The place has many empty & had plenty tables/chair and we ask her to be extended the short ugly owner lady said the seats have reservation. We were the for good 1 hour, NO ONE sat in any of those table. The table was not even set up for anyone to sit there anyway. Best Thai around – I have been to many Thai restaurants in the Puget sound area and Mali Thai is our hands-down favorite. Consistently xcellent food, good portion sizes, great food, quick and friendly service, great food, creative atmosphere, and did I mention really good food? thumbs up – Their red curry is the best! I also like their cashew chicken. Their staff is always very pleasant but always very rushed. (Probably just because it's always busy during lunch and dinner.) It's well worth the visit. The only thing I wish they had was a bigger place!
Puget Sound's best Thai food – I cannot praise Mali Thai enough --- not only is their food the best Thai food around the Puget Sound I know, I also believe their service is excellent. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, the spices very fragrant without being overpowering, and the presentation just beautiful. Impressive – I have been to a few Thai restaurants, and I generally go by the recommendations of those who are of Thai descent. This restaurant was a great recommendation from our Thai friend. Those who tout knowing good Asian cuisine are often misled by their very own egos and cannot critique Asian restaurants because they weren't raised on Asian food. Get it? Great thai – I like this place a lot: great food, service is fast and friendly but not TOO friendly, decent prices, fun atmosphere. I've never had any problems with the service, but i can see why a lot of reviewers are saying it's horrible because it seems like the girls are all related (family-run) and still foreign (i.e. broken english). User review by poochai – The food is really good, and is served in good time, but the server was a snob. I have been here a few times, and in my opinion the thai food is the best in the area. The kitchen and dining areas are fully staffed, so you can have promt service. But like I said, the server was a snob. I gave it another try a few days later, and the server was still a snob. Not going back, unless calling in an order to go.
