I visited the Andrews Air Force Base ER struggling to breathe, but the staff didn’t take my concerns seriously. Despite repeatedly explaining that I don’t take anti-allergy medications due to personal beliefs, they ignored me and prescribed them anyway, offering no inhaler or alternative solutions. I worked at the Pharmacy back in the early 80's. Things seemed really well back then, from the Labs, to ER, to our Pharmacy. Sounds like things have really gone downhill. What happened?
I have been attempting to contact the Active Duty Clinic for several days regarding an issue I need assistance with (refill of prescriptions while not in the local area) and every single time I've called the phone has rung for 3 minutes before hanging up on me without connecting to a representative. This is after two years of being stationed at Andrews and dealing with similar issues of lack of/poor communication and difficulty connecting to clinic representatives and doctors by phone, email or the patient portal.
They take hours to see you for anything and most of the time they can't actually tell you what is wrong. Google would be a better bet for getting an accurate diagnosis.
Had a back and forth between the primary clinic and the urgent care over who was supposed to take care of my dog bite reporting. Now I can't even get the AD clinic to answer their phone. Any attempt to call them hangs up immediately without ringing. Immunizations at least gets their job done without issue.
