I had an amazing time shooting a wedding at Malaparte and absolutely loved it! The terrace is easily the best part because you get those clear views of the CN Tower. The tented ceremony felt really intimate and having cocktail hour out on the terrace steps was a nice touch for the guests to just hang out and see the skyline. The reception space is one of my favourites in downtown Toronto because of all the natural light coming through the big windows and the beautiful modern high ceiling. We hosted our annual reception at Malaparte in 2023 and 2024, and the experience was so wonderful that we’ve already booked the venue again for this year. Having the entire 6th floor, including the terrace, created a spectacular setting for our guests. The outdoor space with the white tent and terrace bar, with views of the CN Tower, made the evening feel truly special. Service was excellent from start to finish, and the food was fantastic. I hosted my wedding here. The venue is beautiful and the food is very good. However, the frustration dealing with the venue from an operations perspective was so immense that I will never host an event here again. As a few examples of mismanagement of our event: Not informing our guests of the silent vegetarian option despite providing allergy list, overcharging us on our final bill incorrectly but insisting it was correct, sending our event info (with our personal information visible) to another party without an apology, ch... read more
