Dr Makhoul has been caring for myself and my now (adult) children for 15 years or more. I trust him with ALL of our health care needs. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, and has good bedside manner. His staff go above and beyond as well. I simply have no complaints. I could not ask for a better provider for my family.
Looking at prior reviews, maybe the staff had issues in years past, but when I was there in summer 2023 they were excellent - friendly and organized handling multiple patients... some of whom were being difficult. Based on what I witnessed, Dr. Makhoul is well established and cares for the local community. He provides treatment to many patients who don't care for themselves in a manner to get the point across they need to take responsibility for their health. He takes care of my handicapped grandson. he is kind and an excellent Dr, who does listen to the patient, (and in our case the family}. He answers all questions and individualizes his care as needed.
This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. His staff is incompetent and very rude. When they screwed up my results, he literally said, "our bad." His bed side manner is horrible, he does not listen to the patient and acts as if they don't know they're own symptoms well enough. He reads a drop down menu of questions off his laptop (the Obamacare method) and a few clicks later you're diagnosed. He talks over you and doesn't address alternatives. Very poor service.
He was thorough but not much of a bedside manner. I was stressed by the time I left. On the fence about going back. Maybe for adults but not so much children.
This Doctor must be the absolute worst Doctor in the Lehigh Valley. Not only is his staff rude, crude, and ignorant, they proceed to either not answer the office phone, hang up on you when you call, or they call you back. The call back was so scary, I was terrified. The person on the other end took at least 15 minutes to know who I was, where my file was, or if I was even a patient. The doctor never called my prescription into the pharmacy. Just don't goo here!!!
He is a Doctor that explains and helps you understand your medical condition. Most importantly to me you feel you are the only one he is taking care of you are most certainly not a number
Dr. Makhoul is a passionate doctor that is devoted to the overall health of his patients. He evaluates the whole person and proceeds with the best care for them.
