Pros: Owner was very nice. Negative: Absolutely disgusting interior. Flies swarming around like it’s a full dumpster in summer. There was a layer of filth in everything. The fridge by the door had rotting food in it, not unlike a horror movie. We ended up taking our to-go food and tossing it for fear of eating from a place so, so dirty. There’s not health inspection notification; I assume if there was it would be closed for good.
Nice, dog-friendly (say hi to Mingus and the veritable parade of neighborhood dogs on their walks) spot cheerfully operated by Ms. Prashanthi. With excellently prepared, diverse coffee and non- options there're few better places to drop in and listen in on neighborhood gossip while enjoying your drink. Makeda & Mingus was my veritable third place for years and I wholeheartedly recommend the coffee, care, and community it provides.
