Have been a repeat customer since Make Believe opened and can’t say enough good things about the coffee, treats, staff, & atmosphere! Tom & Nicole are amazing - very friendly, professional & know what they’re doing! We’re in here all the time - so much so that my 2 year old asks for them every weekend. If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and try it! Coffee & baked good are so so good!

I would give it a zero but had to choose a 1 for review. Just got into NY and looked like a place where you can sit and take care of some tasks (like a Starbucks kinda). But within a few minutes one lady asked how could she help us. We let them know we'll be ordering shortly. Then a about 2 to 3 minutes later a guy comes and ask. We asked if they had a paper menu. Didn't get a chance to order. Just got to the area from NC to attend an event at the Marquee Astoria. Sat down for a few minutes. Waiter came over and began to rush us to order. We were only there a few mins. We assured the waiter that we planned to order; however, he stood there and would not leave us alone. Plenty of seating available and not busy at all. We decided to leave and not order due to the disrespect. Definitely will never go back.

I think this is the best cafe I’ve ever been to. So glad I moved into the area! The food is incredible, the people who run the shop are wonderfully kind. Their savory ham bread pudding? To die for.
