I went to this salon, and I found it to be overpriced from the start. The owner, Robin, has no formal training, yet he charges a premium for his services. The salon does not come across as professional; the staff lacks the expertise that one would expect. The owner used to wash clients' hair and now believes he is an expert. I’ve known Robin and Emilie for 10 years now when they were both working at another salon and I followed them at Maison Noi. I’ve always enjoyed the experience and my haircut there. Maison Noi has a great vibe with professional staff and always have clients’ satisfaction in mind. I’ve been recommending it to friends, neighbours and family. You can’t go wrong with this salon. Go ahead and book!

I just had a beautiful cut at this wonderfully fresh and inviting space. These owners take pride in their new shop! The staff is happy and helpful - a testament to how much they must love their job. I met Robin a few months ago when he kindly agreed to make a visit to cut my mother-in-law’s hair at her retirement home (she is unable to travel). As it turns out Robin also teaches hairstyling at Algonquin Collage and donates his time to be part of “The Rolling Barber”, cutting hair for the homeless in downtown Ottawa. I am ver... read more
