★★★☆☆ I stayed at MainStay Suites in Hillside for five days, and while the location was convenient and the overall stay was manageable, there were several issues that kept this from being a better experience. The biggest disappointment was housekeeping. During the entire five-day stay, my room was never cleaned even though I requested service. Worst hotel I've ever experienced. The room was clean but had bare minimum amenities, no tissues, etc. The services sucked, they only offer coffee in the morning but both pots were empty. When we inquired about it they offered a coffee bag and some hot water. Vending machines was out of order and management didn't seem to care.

I had a very disappointing and unsafe experience at MainStay Suites. The condition of the room was unacceptable. The kitchen area had exposed and unsafe electrical sockets, which is a serious safety hazard. The cooktop also appeared damaged and poorly maintained. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned before check-in. There was soap residue and hair all over the bathtub, making it slippery and unsanitary. I booked a room for my 25 year old son at the MainStay Suites Chicago Hillside for 04/03/26 through 04/18/26. My son needed lodging while visiting with his father who was admitted from Springfield, IL to Loyola University Medical Center to undergo a double lung transplant. His father was recovering as expected but unfortunately encountered complications and multi-organ failure within 2 weeks of the transplant. The owner is disrespectful, and called me “another ignorant black person” They always give you attitude, I requested new linen multiple times, they owner refused to give me my deposit back, they are over priced. The owner followed me attempting to fight me. He cursed me out multiple times. I would not ever stay there again. I would not recommend staying there or anyone to visit there. They don’t like to give you towels. So much more negative I can speak on.
