Do not buy a salt water hot tub system (Flash- Hot Spring Spa) without considering there following: We specifically bought the system to use for our handicapped child. The “salt cell” has to be replaced, we have had the hot tub just over 1yr. A part that needs to be replaced so frequently, costing nearly $1,000 each time should be disclosed to families considering this purchase. We would have purchased something different if we knew that this system required such expensive maintenance.

We finally decided to buy a hot tub in February when there was snow on the ground. Now 4 months later with a new deck in place, we finally took delivery of a Hot Springs Grandee. The whole process from start to finish was an enjoyable process. The only source for hot tubs you need – If you are considering a hot tub and you live anywhere in Greater Portland - over even further away - Mainely Tubs is the only place you need to go. They are all nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The don't try to sell you anything. They are there to help you wiht whatever your needs are! They Rock!!
I did alot of research before I bought my Hot Tub- I checked Consumer Reports and went on line for hours, over a few months before I finally narrowed down my choices to Hot Springs because of the energy efficiency. I did the math. The amount of $ i would end up paying on a monthly basis for the electricity to run a hot tub by Jacuzzi would have ended up costing me alot more over a 10 year period, so the fact that the HS tub cost a little more $ was a wash.
