MGMC Augusta continues to fail the community in emergency care. 5 hour wait just to see a doctor before imaging could be ordered. This is how they care for an 88 year old who suffered a fall with a possible fractured humerus on a Tuesday evening, glad it wasn’t a busy Saturday night. Park them in the waiting room for 5 hours, great job Maine General Augusta, you deserve all the negative reviews received here online.

When healthcare is supposed to be about compassion and caring for people, some staff in this hospital lack basic empathy. My father passed away unexpectedly yesterday and my fianc� asked for a few days to help me and they had the nerve to tell her she didn’t need the time off as she didn’t know him. Their reason for saying she didn’t know him was due to us not being married. Mind you we’ve been together for 6 years and been on countless family outings together. They mistreat people. This hospital should’ve been shut down years ago. Negligence runs rampant as do snotty attitudes. I won’t step foot in here ever again. If they don’t like you they will make your visit a nightmare. I told everyone not to bother to call an ambulance for me ever again because I’d rather die out here than surrounded by the worst medical providers who won’t do a thing for me anyways. I can’t even call them professionals 🤦🏻‍♀

It was a relatively busy Sunday staff was efficient, curtious, and professional. Doctor was thorough, excellent bedside manner and attentive. We were there a long time as we had to wait for two separate sets of tests. They checked on us at a reasonable rate. Were very informative. I am very pleased with every aspect from intake to cleanliness nurses and drs. Admin the whole team was great and saved my husband from having toe amputation.
