Built on Portland's waterfront, and launched in 2003, our 74' British design gaff rigged cutter has enjoyed hosting guests aboard since 2005. Designed and built in the spirit of tradition, Frances is a replica of working coastal pilot cutters that sailed the waters of Maine and New England between 1790 and 1812. Thank you, Megan and crew for a lovely day on the bay! We celebrated my 40th birthday with about 25 friends, and caught the perfect 2 hour sail between rainstorms. The weather was moody and beautiful - it doesn't have be be sunny to make a spectacular afternoon onboard the Frances!
As always our private charter was wonderful. Megan and her crew are professional and we always have a great time.
