I go to get my labs here and the people here are exceptional. From the time I arrive to the time I'm leaving, I spend maybe 30 minutes, slightly longer if there are more people. The lady who does the blood draws so fantastic. She is in and out and we were done in give minutes each. Plus they were super accommodating for my kid who was nervous about their blood draw. She did not hesitate to get a more comfortable place and talk with them about what she was doing. Fast exceptional well done!
New lab registration is terrible. They don't have anyone to help explain. I hate having anything to do with maine general any more. They used to be good. I am not the only one most of my friends are not happy either.
This hospital is a complete joke. I came on 7/28 for abdominal issues. The only thing I was asked by the provider was if I was pregnant. That’s it. They never hooked me up to an IV despite me being dehydrated, and unhooked me from my blood pressure cuff because and I quote “it’s annoying”. They diagnosed me with IBS D when I literally have IBS M, and have told them that several times, then prescribed me an antibiotic upon discharge that I told them multiple times I could not afford because of my insurance. Maine General Medical Center here usually has a pretty significant wait time, and the staff can be somewhat friendly, but it's not the most incredible experience in the world. Then again, what do you expect from a hospital?
