Nice people & ate some great food. Our tour guide stopped a lot to talk in the cold then we were behind and hurried along for the eating parts of the tour at times but he was very enthusiastic about showing us portland and very friendly! A great way to spend a couple hours in Portland and help decide where to eat/go for the rest of your stay!
Pat Bagg rocked the house on this tour-- we were lucky to go on a small one, she filled it with all sorts of tidbits not just about food/ the local lobster industry, but the history of Portland as a city and what's best about it now. Her culinary background makes her an amazing resource, and she even baked one of the numerous dishes we tasted herself-- home baked lobster macaroni! We had the best time & tour with Phil our guide. He was incredibly informative and so fun and friendly. We had wine and cheese, to jams & scones to beer & chocolates!! It would have been more fun if our Tour Guide could have tasted along with us. I think that would have made it a bit more special.
This was one of our favorite activities during our weekend in Portland! It rained pretty steadily during our whole tour, but that didn't bother us! Our tour guide, Randy, was very engaging and had so much to share about the area. We really enjoyed all the local history we learned, and especially all the local food samples (of course)! Wendy gave us a great tour in Kennebunkport. She made adjustments for my food allergies and was very informative.
Wendy gave us THE best tour of Kennebunkport ever! Her wit and humor made for a great ice breaker, her knowledge on the area was amazing and the food was phenomenal. Thank you for a wonderful tour. Maybe next time, we'll get up to do the Portland tour.
My family and I had a great time on our Foodie Tour in Portland on Thursday, July 26, 2014 with Pat and on Friday, July 27, 2014 with Wendy in Kennebunkport. Both of these tours and tour guides were OUTSTANDING. I am planning on writing a full review including lots of pictures of both the Portland and Kennebunkport in a few weeks after returning home from our vacation.
