Your support of useless and unconstitutional Red Flag laws show just how biased and uneducated you really are. You are an Education Association, stick to educating our kids not indoctrinating them. Stay out of politics.

I'm not sure why MEA is getting involved in politics, but they shouldn't be. Maine already prohibits people who have been adjudicated as mentally unfit or those who have been convicted of domestic violence from possessing firearms. The difference between current law and the red flag law is that the person prohibited has had due process and aren't just suspected of being unfit. Please MEA do your research.

They should stick to education, not unconstitutional gun laws.

They should disappear completely. The education standards in Maine are very low. Kids graduating today don't know anything except liberal indoctrination.

Educators are only as strong as the Association that stands behind them. I have been a life member for over 50 years, and believe me...without NEA, MEA, and strong locals, the gains that have been made over the years would not have come about. Despite our many frustrations, legislators and local board members do hear our voices. Stay strong and stay proud! Better days are coming.
